Baby Lima beans

Scientific name: Phaseolous lunatus

The name pallar comes from the paxller mochica [paɬeɾ], through the pallar quechua.

During the Spanish invasion of America Viceroyalty of Peru, the pallar or Lima beans were stolen and taken to the rest of America and to Europe. The English name of “Lima Beans” is because they were exported in boxes of merchandise that described their place of origin: Lima, Peru, and hence their name. In Cusco Quechua, it is recorded as neologism within the vernacular language, he says:
